FRESHEN UP THAT BOTTOM END You take care of your motorcycle by doing top ends all the time, why neglect the bottom end? Water & dirt are the number one enemies of motors (and we know how much of that we encounter). If your bike is more than one year old, chances are the lower end needs some attention. Bring or send your motor and Stevo (aka "The Wizard") will split the cases, rebuild the crank with new connecting rod, crank pin, washers and top end bearing and lower rod bearing. He'll true the crank to under .001 total run out. While it's apart, he will inspect the transmission for any flaws. Before installing the crank, he puts fresh main bearings and crank seals to complete the job before assembling. The turnaround time is only a few days. Don't wait until it is too late! Start your 2010 season with a fresh motor. |
