One day turn-around
Our machine shop has produced some of the most intricate parts over our almost 35 years in business. We have done work for Lucent Technologies, Spirol International and Rogers Corporation. We are proud of our commitment to excellence that is surpassed by none. With the knowledge gained throughout the years, rebuilding cranks was a no-brainer for our highly technical shop.
We have created a fixture to assemble the cranks keeping both surfaces parallel as well as keeping the two crank journals concentric with each other at assembly. Crank widths are maintained as well to duplicate OEM crank volume. When they come out of our fixture they are done. No need to bang it around until "it's close enough".
You can have anyone check our cranks to ensure you are getting good stuff. As long as the crank is installed correctly and the main bearing's installed in the case properly, your troubles are over. We have a one day turn around thanks to our large inventory of ProX rod kits.
***At STR we always give our customers their parts back so they know what was wrong and what was replaced. Do other shops do this and if so can you be sure they are your parts? We are able to rebuild cranks and cylinder cores to save you money. Other shops may insist you need to replace them with new costing you more money. Since it will cost you about $800 for us to rebuild them you may choose to have a mod motor built for another $800 resulting in a great new race motor.
