Freshen Up That Bottom End!
You take care of your motorcycle by doing top ends all the time so why neglect the bottom end?
Water & dirt are the number one enemies of motors and we know how much of that we encounter.
If your bike is more than one year old chances are the lower end needs some attention.
Bring or send your motor to us and we will split the cases, rebuild the crank with new connecting
rod, crank pin, washers and top end bearing and lower rod bearing. We will true the crank to
.001 total run out. While it's apart we will inspect the transmission for any flaws. Before
installing the crank we will put fresh main bearings and crank seals in to complete the job before assembling.

***At STR we always give our customers their parts back so they know what was wrong and what was replaced. Do other shops do this and if so can you be sure they are your parts? We are able to rebuild cranks and cylinder cores to save you money. Other shops may insist you need to replace them with new costing you more money. Since it will cost you about $800 for us to rebuild them you may choose to have a mod motor built for another $800 resulting in a great new race motor. |
