Tired of paying $2000 and ↑ every time you blow up your 250F. Tired of participating in the P.C.P.? That's the "parts counter program" that the factories have created with the four stroke revolution. They try to convince you that you can't compete on a two stroke. We disagree!!! The transition from an 85 or 105 to a 250F is too great. If you want to polish your skills for the future, we recommend staying on a 125 or better yet a 144/153. Here's what our 144 / 153 Kits can do for you... For $1600 we will: Overbore your cylinder and do the head mods needed for the plus 2mm or plus 4mm top end. Stroke and balance your crank to bring it to 144 or 153cc. There also has to be modifications to the power valves and cases to accept the new size. All our lower ends are completely rebuildable with OEM components. Our top ends use standard Vertex piston kits. Some companies will grind connecting rods to fit the case leaving the next person to rebuild it wondering what was done. Whoever gets our motors to rebuild will have no questions as our motors are all machined not hand ground. Turn-around is usually 1 to 2 weeks. We have converted CR's, KX's, RM's and YZ's from 125's to 144's or 153's with complete success in performance. Adam Johnson's '07 YZ 144 now has 150 hours with 0 failure. Some of you may know we nicknamed Adam "The Terminator" but he has not been able to terminate this motor! Our motors will provide many hours of reliable performance if you follow our guidelines. Race fuel with proper jetting and clean air filters will keep you out of the P.C.P.
***At STR we always give our customers their parts back so they know what was wrong and what was replaced. Do other shops do this and if so can you be sure they are your parts? We are able to rebuild cranks and cylinder cores to save you money. Other shops may insist you need to replace them with new costing you more. Since it will cost you about $800 for us to rebuild them you may choose to have a mod motor built for another $800 resulting in a great new race motor.
