Tech Tips

Tech Tip #1

YZ 125/250F Clutch Fibers:  When replacing clutch fibers for these bikes there are two different types of fibers that go into a stock oem clutch. The inner most and outer fiber is Yamaha part #3XJ-16321-00 and the other fibers are part #5DH-16321-00. The reason for this is the inner diameter is bigger. This prevents chafing on the 125 and allows room for the tension washer on the 250F. If you buy an aftermarket set, some companies mark their bigger diameter fibers.  We strongly suggest pre-soaking all fibers for a couple of hours before installation.
